Mats Eriksson, guest speaker at SP Intelligence Europe.

  • Head of Investment Solutions at Garantum Fondkommission

    Mats leads the development and delivery of the firm’s investment products and portfolio solutions. His remit spans the entire lifecycle of cross-asset investments—from initial idea generation to implementation and execution—covering both bespoke private placements and public issues across Garantum’s Nordic distribution network. Mats has been instrumental in introducing innovative solutions to the Nordic market, such as SPV-issued collateralized notes (GAP-products), and has spearheaded the integration of advanced pricing and portfolio analytics software.

    Previously, Mats was with Credit Suisse, serving as an analyst focused on structured retail products within a cross-asset mandate for the Nordic region.

    Mats holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics, specializing in Finance and Accounting, from Uppsala University. His academic background includes advanced finance studies at the National University of Singapore and studies in Business and business studies at the Albert Ludvig University of Freiburg in Germany.

  • Managing Director & Global Head Wealth Solutions Group, CIBC Capital Markets

    Elliot Scherer is Managing Director & Global Head of CIBC Capital Markets’ Wealth Solutions Group. His team is responsible for originating and distribution structured notes, market-linked GICs, CDRs, fixed income, foreign exchange, financing and hedging solutions to investment advisors, private bankers and their high-net-worth investors around the world. Elliot holds over 20 years of experience with CIBC Capital Markets, is a board member for the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, and is on CIBC’s Children’s Foundation Donations Committee. Elliot also recently won the 2025 Champion of Change Award from VersaFi in recognition of his efforts in promoting an inclusive workforce.

    Henrik Segerberg is a seasoned financial leader and the Head of Structured Trading at Nordea Markets in Stockholm. With over 25 years of experience in derivatives, he specializes in structuring complex equity and credit products.

  • Head of Strategy & Digital Asset Indices, Product Development, STOXX

    Thomas Shuttlewood is Head of Strategy & Digital Asset Index Product Development at STOXX. He leads the design and evolution of innovative index solutions, focused on both the structured product and the ETF markets. His work spans decrement, leverage and risk control indices, to volatility and derivative strategies.

    Before his current role, Thomas worked as a Quant Developer in the White Label Index team, before transitioning to the branded index development team, where he ultimately managed the research and development of the STOXX Alternative Strategy Index suite.

    Thomas holds a Master of Sciences Degree in Physics, Particle Physics and Cosmology from the University of Birmingham.

  • Secretary General, EUSIPA - European Structured Investment Products Association

    Thomas is the Secretary General of EUSIPA the European association for the issuers of structured investment products, a role he covers since 2012.

    He is also a member of the board in the Towards Sustainability Central Labelling Agency, the Belgian financial sector ESG label awarding institution and general manager of BELSIPA, the Belgian issuer association of our industry. Thomas, a lawyer by training, headed the Western European Business development function of major global law firm Linklaters before taking his current role. He is married with two children and lives in Brussels.
