Head of Structured Equity Derivatives Sales, UBS Europe SE

Romain Garagnon is Head of Structured Equity Derivatives Sales at UBS Europe SE, with responsibility for distribution across European clients. He has over 20 years of experience spanning derivatives strategy, structuring and sales in both Europe and the United States.

In his current role, Romain leads a team advising insurance companies, asset managers, hedge funds, banks, private banks, corporates and family offices, leveraging the capabilities of UBS Global Markets across regions and asset classes to deliver tailored investment and hedging solutions.

Prior to joining UBS in 2018, where he initially headed the Structured Products and Solutions business for France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco, Romain spent eight years at Citigroup in London in a similar role. He previously served as European Head of Equity Derivatives Structuring at Merrill Lynch, and earlier in his career worked at J.P. Morgan in London and New York as a quantitative researcher.

Romain holds Master’s degrees from École Polytechnique and ENSAE, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Probability and Statistics from the University of Paris VI.
