• President of the French Association of Retail Structured Products Issuers (AFPDB) and Member of the Board of the European Structured Products Association (EUSIPA)

    In this dual capacity, Jean-Philippe recently actively contributed in the industry work leading to the adoption of the AFPDB VFM methodology for structured products whose key principles have since been endorsed by EUSIPA. Other recent contributions concerned investor-education and client-knowledge testing related to structured products and the adoption of manufacturer best practices.

    Jean-Philippe is also Senior Strategic Advisor at Société Générale (SG) and sits at the ESG working group of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA).

    Before joining SG in 2014, Jean-Philippe worked 9 years -as Senior Officer- at the French Financial Markets Authority – the AMF, first at the International Affairs Directorate, where he notably contributed to several IOSCO (International Organisation of Securities Commissions) task forces (e.g., Internet regulations, rules governing intermediaries etc.) and then at the Market Intermediary and Infrastructure Supervision where he helped coordinate the Working Party on market rules of the European regulators of Euronext. Subsequently, Jean-Philippe joined Viel-Tradition interdealer brokerage in Paris as their Secrétaire Général, managing several functions including compliance and AML, and the coordination of industry initiatives in those areas.

    Jean-Philippe Cavrois graduated from Sciences Po Paris (Institut d’Etudes Politiques) and holds a Master in Business Administration of the Paris Sorbonne University (IAE).
